Buenos Aires, November 15 (NA) — Some 150 vendors who occupied the Mugica park in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Saavedra were evicted by the City Government. Official sources informed the Argentine News Agency that the operation involved officers from the City Police, 10 Prevention agents, and 20 inspectors from the Ministry of Public Space and Urban Hygiene. The vendors used to come to the area on Saturdays and Sundays in the perimeter surrounding Mugica park, near the parish of San Juan Bautista El Precursor and meters from the service road of General Paz Avenue, opposite Tecnópolis, where they set up tables and structures to sell clothing, food, toys, and tools on the sidewalks and green spaces. This is the thirteenth procedure carried out during the tenure of Head of Government Jorge Macri, who stated: 'Until two years ago, it was natural in the City to coexist with vendors occupying squares and sidewalks, even in front of commercial establishments.'
